Wednesday was World Down Syndrome Day. As a school we participated in the world-wide initiative “#rockyoursocks,” sponsored by Vermont sock company “Solemates,” to spread awareness. Check out our class’ socks! Did you see our feet in The Core this week?!

Hello Room 37 Families! It felt great to finally have a full week of school without snow days or teacher professional developments! We began a lot of new projects in both math and writing. These first graders have a knack for storytelling and are enjoying our narrative small moment stories! Some highlights from our week include: Issiah, Ben, and Leigh’s birthday celebrations! I Love Math Week Math rotations during team time with Miss Koch’s class Beginning our narratives Videotaping our reading to check for fluency on our new iPads I hope you all enjoyed this beautiful weekend! I look forward to beginning conferences together tomorrow! A sneaky leprechaun was causing mischief in the 1st grade! Miss Goodrich found some clues in the back of our read aloud to find out where he was hiding. Miss Koch led us in our hunt for the leprechaun around Orchard School. We didn’t find him, but he left us a magical surprise and some of his leprechaun gold! |
