We had a long, busy week in 1st grade! The students were surprised to see our classroom had changed over the long weekend! We also changed our schedule around a bit to allow us more movement in the afternoons (we switched writing to the morning and math to the afternoon). The students (and Miss Goodrich!) unanimously voted that they liked our new schedule and classroom set up better! Some highlights from our week:
As a reminder, students are NOT allowed to wear costumes on Halloween. The 1st grade team is working hard to make this Halloween a memorable time for your student, regardless of costumes. Thank you for your support! Best, Miss Goodrich

What a great three-day week in 1st grade! We enjoyed a beautiful field trip to Isham Family Farm and a morning celebration to culminate all that we've learned about apples and pumpkins. Thank you so much for your generous donations, volunteering, and chaperoning throughout the week- classrooms take a village, too!! Reminder: No school Thursday (today) and Friday! Please be sure that your student is reading and returning their book in a bag each day! We will be moving into our non-fiction unit next week. Students are beginning to move up in their reading levels- please contact me if their book is ever too hard.Thank you! Enjoy some photos from our field trip! (Thanks for sharing, Marjorie!) Have a wonderful weekend! Miss Goodrich Well families, we made it through 30 (and more) days of school! This group of students is one in a million. I am one lucky teacher!
