We used our poetry notebooks to practice scooping words into phrases and using expression to read more fluently. Give us a listen!

Another AMAZING week in 1st grade! We filled our positive behavior "warm and fuzzy" jar TWICE in one week! As a class we decided that our reward will be "stuffy day" on Monday- so your child can bring one stuffed animal to school on Monday :) Some of the highlights from our week include... Farm to School Buddies Sylas and Spencer's 7th birthdays! I did not put this in the newsletter this week, so please remember to return the signed Chromebook contract that your student was sent home with last Monday! Have a great weekend! Miss Goodrich I think it safe to say that all of Room 37 is ready for a restful weekend after our first (almost) full week together! Please find the News and Notes from this week in your student's take home folder. Next week your student will bring home their book in a bag from book group this week. The majority of our group time next week will be used for reading assessments to better teach your student as a reader. This book should be read each night and returned to school each day. As a respectful reminder, please empty your students take home folder each night. In addition, if there is a change in your student's usual dismissal routine (pick up, bus, school's out), please send a note, email, or phone call- thank you! Enjoy some of our photos from our time together this week! I hope you all get outside this weekend and enjoy the last of these warm days! Miss Goodrich |
